I was born and raised in San Francisco and moved to Novato with my family after high school. I attended Pitzer College in Claremont, CA, where I received my B.A. in Sociology. Knowing all along that I wanted to be a teacher, I continued my education by getting my teaching credential and my Masters Degree in Education from Dominican University in San Rafael.
My husband and I got married eight years ago, and we live in Rohnert Park. Last year, I took the year off of teaching, as my husband and I welcomed our baby boy, Bennett! He was born on November 30, and is growing and learning each day. We also have 14 nieces and nephews(!) ranging in age from 3 to 25. While I didn't grow up in Novato, I still come from a P.V. family: my 16-year-old brother, Spencer, is a P.V. graduate and is currently a junior at San Marin.
This is my twelfth year teaching and my sixth year at Pleasant Valley. I am so excited to be part of such a welcoming and supportive school community! I look forward to teaching my hard-working group of 4th graders, helping them grow and develop their academic skills!
